Cady McClain (ex-Kelly; ex-Dixie, AMC; ex-Rosanna, ATWT) couldn’t understand why Jessica Collins (Avery) wasn’t “appreciated as much as she should have been,” then proceeded to extol the fellow actress’s virtues as a nice person. McClain posted this on her Facebook. Collins is set to be done with Y&R on-screen next week. But being nice doesn’t always equate with ratings if an actress is saddled with a boring character and/or can’t make any story elevate. According to Daytime Confidential’s sources, Collins decided not to renew her contract.

Rape? Really, Chuck? Avery sucked as a soap character, but nobody deserves that kind of send-off. She suspects Joe of violating her, but it could be this fake Jack Marco person. Sicker and sicker every day.
