Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) is taking a few tips from Maurice Benard’s Sonny in sculpting his own character. Christopher told Michael Fairman in a March 6th interview that he doesn’t believe in absolutes for anyone.“If you are going to use the character and say the character is ‘dark,’ and I will just use that term for now in that direction, then you have got to have contrast, otherwise you are just a bad dude,” Christopher said. “I don’t believe anyone is like that, and that is why the character of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) became so popular. Sonny is doing all of these bad things, but he has this layer to him that was kind, loving and understanding, and merciful, and that has been the cornerstone to his character. I have sort of taken different pieces from that and tried to implement them into this new and improved Nikolas. I just think a more rounded character is more interesting to the audience.” Read how badly Christopher wants former co-star Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney) back, since it makes so much sense to Nikolas and Spencer’s ongoing story, and how he hated to put a knife to Constance Towers’ (Helena) throat in recently aired scenes.
Billy Miller (Jake/Jason) scored a guest-starring role on the USA Network series finale of Suits, which aired March 4.
Movie star Dee Wallace (E.T.) will play Luke and Bobbie’s mysterious eldest sister Pat.
The 42nd annual Daytime Emmys found a home: It’s going to air on the Pop cable channel (formerly the TV Guide Network), April 26, 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The awards ceremony will take place at the Warner Bros. Studios lot on Stage 16, where Casablanca, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic Park once filmed. Michael Levitt will executive produce the awards show. He previously worked on several awards shows, including the Billboard Music Awards, the Young Hollywood Awards, and the Producers Guild Awards, and founded the TV Land Awards. As is tradition, the behind-the-scenes Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will occur before the main awards show airs, April 24, at L.A.’s Universal Hilton Hotel. The following rumors are from Trixie via DD (taken from Lynx’s paraphrase post on SoapZone’s GH message board March 7): With Luke and Bobbie’s oldest sister Pat back in the picture, maybe Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC) will play her daughter who is married to someone important… Billy Miller (Jake/Jason), not so peachy-keen? “Apparently BM has been showing up 2-4 hours late for work lately because of auditions. This week LW and BH had to take notes on blocking for him because he wasn't there and they were pissed. Cast/crew mad, but higher ups still love BM so letting it slide for now”… Just because Silas tells Ava she’s dying doesn’t mean she’ll die. If Ava can find a bone marrow match, she will live, and she will live thanks to Silas… Jordan must pull off a hit on Julian in order to earn her stripes with Sonny’s mob, while Julian has Carlos off Duke…
What if Billy Miller (Jake/Jason) winds up leaving GH to do more permanent primetime work? TPTB might take back the Jason reveal and say, Never mind.
